Jeff is an extremely talented sax player that has an extensive background musically. He studied as a Music Major at Southwestern in Creston, IA and then at Texas Tech. As a student, he participated in several music tours and also performed in the distinguished Greeley Jazz Festival. Since then, he has played with many bands and professional musicians in North-Central Iowa. He is well known among Iowa musicians and is frequently called upon whenever anyone needs a professional sax player.
Jeff uses a special technique in his playing where he uses the guitar and bass lines to improvise on a sax part where a part is not written. This enables him to play sax in almost any song from blues to country to rock. His creative improvisations takes the songs to a whole new level, adding a soulful blend of sound and style.
Jeff currently resides in Clear Lake, IA in a lake house with a Harley in the living room. He is a RAGBRAI veteran and bicycle enthusiast.
